WHAT TO EXPECT DURING A SEPTIC PUMP OUT
WHAT IS IT?
A septic pump out is the process of removing as much of the solids in your septic tank as possible, leaving you room to continue using it in a healthy and safe manner.
HOW IMPORTANT IS IT?
Next to a yearly inspection, regular septic pumping and pump outs are utterly critical to the health of your septic system. The reason is probably obvious: When your septic tank gets too full, your yard will overflow with disgusting, mushy waste. Your toilets and sinks will also likely back up as well.
But even more important: an overflowing septic tank is much more likely to be damaged and require replacement, which is an expensive undertaking. Especially when you consider the fact that a simple pomp out could have solved the problem before it started.
HOW OFTEN SHOULD I PUMP OUT MY TANK?
Every house is different, and it depends on tank size and usage. But generally speaking you don’t want to wait more than about 3 years between pump outs. Waiting to get this done could end up more costly in the long run. Call Septic Dominators today to schedule a pump out. 407-505-6685 (click to call)
WHAT TO CONSIDER BEFORE PUMPING OUT
The absolute most important maintenance procedure for your septic tank, and the thing that will keep it healthy and lasting much longer (saving you lots of money on replacement tanks and hardware) is a yearly inspection.
Inspections are usually 1/3 the cost of a pump out and, for the most part, are an insurance policy against major problems.
The main reason people have to replace their septic tanks is usually for small damaged or small sub par issues with the functioning of the equipment. These issues, when not caught while they are small, become much larger issues. For instance, we’ve seen plenty of simple repairs that would have cost a client around $300 become a $7,000-$10,000 system replacement because the small issue causes much bigger damage over time, rendering the system totally useless and in need of replacement.
WHAT TO EXPECT ON PUMP OUT DAY
We’re also excellent at showing up within the time window you tell us works well for you and the pump out itself is generally finished in under 90 minutes, so it’s not very long.
It’s helpful if you know where your septic tank and lid are located, but if not we can certainly find it.
Other than that, just enjoy the comfort of your AC unit while we go to work for you!
